Wits vs Chiefs TKO match sold out

Bidvest Wits vs Kaizer Chiefs Telkom Knockout match sold out

Posted: 19 October 2012 Time: 11:28 am

Jose Ferreira has warned fans with no tickets for Bidvest Wits' Telkom Knockout match against Kaizer Chiefs not to come near Bidvest Stadium on Friday.

This after tickets for the much-awaited game were sold out on Thursday.

Kick off is at 8.15pm.

Ferreira tells KickOff.com that only 5,000 tickets were available to fans, for security reasons.

"I want to warn soccer fans with no tickets not to take any chances but stay at home and watch the game on TV," the Wits CEO says. "We have set tight security, plus the presence of the police at the stadium."

The game will be live on SuperSport.

PSL acting CEO Cambridge Mokanyane says: "I can confirm that the Bidvest Wits vs Kaizer Chiefs game is sold out. We have been overwhelmed with the response so far. If someone has not purchased a ticket for this game, they should rather watch it on television.

Mokanyane confirms that tickets for the other TKO last 16 fixtures are still available.

"We urge the fans to use the next few hours to buy their tickets.  We are extremely excited about this weekend's TKO fixtures."

Mara iWits has bad luck when it comes to thinking, how can they take this game to such a small stadium. Think of all the money they could have if they took the game else where, where they could have made more than R200 000!

Anyhow okwabo lokho & may the best prepared team celebrate after 90min, 120min/ penalty shootouts!

The game supposed to be called off due to the loss of Thomas Madigage as most of Chiefs players like Mathoho,Shabba,Parker,Lebese,Khune,Gaxa will be too much affected because they ws with Thomas on thursday.PSL do a justice by scheduling the game to other day

I remember when wits took the mighty KC to dat stadium in de Nedbank cup 2011. We moered them 4-0. this time we'll be lenient 2-0 will be more than enough. this will be a cracker. a game of de weekend if u ask me...

oxford univesity football vs wits university football. no street soccer allowed. we work on transitions and percentages. ok, let me stop b4 gorillaz get confused about these big terms..

The strategy that Wits is using wont assist them. All 4990 will be Chiefs fans and 10 will be Wits fans. They know that the 12th player will work against them so they bring the game to a small stadium to avoid the 12th player. I smell a victory for Amakhosi 1 - 0.
